4K401 is a low magnification 4K Ultra HD digital microscope featuring high definition digital camera technology utilizing SONY sensor to deliver 4K Ultra HD resolution motion video with no lag time. The manual focus 4K digital microscope has possible magnification range of 4x-91x on 24″ UHD monitor or 5x-106x on 28″ UHD monitor with long working distance up to 12” and field of view up to 5.46″ diagonally. These specifications work well for assembly, inspection, training, real-time viewing, image capture and motion video documentation applications.
The digital microscope has an inserted TF (micro SD) card to save images directly onto in jpeg format (3840×2160), which makes system ideal for use as complete standalone by removing the hassle of a PC connection requirement. The system also has integrated measurement software to allow measurements through mouse control and HDMI connection to monitor, without requiring computer control. If needed, the 4K401 also has the option to connect to computer via Gigabit Ethernet port for multicasting purposes, through Wi-Fi connection via 5G WLAN adapter to USB 3.0 port, or with direct cable connection thru USB 3.0 port.
The 4K401 can be configured with various stands, XY measurement stage, and lighting accessories. Adjustable high intensity LEDs with diffuser glass filter are included with the microscope to provide bright uniform lighting for great picture quality while also giving option to reduce glare from highly reflective parts, if needed. Other lighting options, such as polarizer lighting, and dual arm goose arm lighting, are also available. Specific applications requiring pinpointing inspection area visually can also benefit from the optional laser light pointer accessories. XY measurement stages are also available as measurement options for the 4K401.

Image Stitching and Extended Depth of Focus (on PC-side Measurement Software)
Image Stitching (left) and Extended Depth of Focus (right)
When the 4K camera is directly connected to computer via Gigabit Ethernet port, the PC-side measurement software features image stitching as well as extended depth of focus. Image stitching allows multiple images to be pieced together to form one combined image, which is useful applications that require larger field of view while maintaining detailed image quality. Extended depth of focus allows multiple images to be stacked together so that imaging of an area with components on various planes will be all be in complete focus, creating one superior image with an extended depth of field of this single area.
4K Ultra HD has more resolution than HD 1080p
