The Omni-Core auto focus digital microscope is a Full HD 1080p inspection system designed with customization in mind to tailor to each application’s specific needs. The base unit comes with a set of applications that provide operator the tools for basic inspection and documentation needs, including email, lens distortion correction, internal and external storage and more. Because not all inspection requirements are the same, the Omni-Core allows the user to choose what additional app features they need for their inspection so that their system is not bloated with features that won’t ever use for their application. Additional app features available 2D measurement, annotation, and graticules with calibration tracking, DXF import, image stacking, and side-by-side and overlay comparator.
The auto focus system has a powerful image process and control engine that delivers full HD 1080p live video at 60 frames per second. Omni-Core comes standard with a 5 lens to give magnification range of 2.5x to 62x (or up to 122x digitally) at working distance range of 170 mm to 200mm on a 24” HD monitor. This magnification range equates to 8mm to 231mm horizontal field of view range (or down to 4mm digitally). The system comes with a built-in quadrant control LED ring light with intensity control, as well as a wireless mouse and keyboard. It has a clean and easy GUI (graphical user interface) that is controlled by a mouse to deliver full control and efficient operation on the unit, and without the hassle of needing to connect to a PC. Camera control functions (i.e. auto/manual focus, exposure, gain, brightness, white balance) ensure consistent, ultra-sharp high contrast imaging throughout inspection duration.
All Omni-Core units are factory calibrated, and also have auto edge detection features so that the system is ready for repeatable measurements with calibration tracking when measurement apps are added to the base unit. Other lens, lighting, and stand options are available for configuration with the system. Because of its versatility in customization possibilities, the Omni-Core is a great solution for electronics and industrial quality control, testing, rework, assembly, inspection, and documentation tasks.

2D Patented Measurement and Annotation
Conducting 2D measurements is as simple as using a mouse to measure point to point, diameter and more with lines and shapes. Measurements, shapes and annotations can be applied to a live or static image, and saved internally without PC connection or externally via USB connection. Features include: point to point, diameter, angle, adjustable X-Y grid, shapes and annotation to accommodate a multitude of samples specifications.
On Screen Reticule Graticules
Custom graticules can be created using the measurement app and saved to the camera’s internal memory to be recalled later as necessary. Upon being recalled, the graticule will appear as an overlay over the live image and automatically zoom to the zoom level the graticule was saved in for accurate measurements. This feature enables quick pass/fail defect analysis to improve efficiency in high-volume inspections.
DXF Import
Import DXF files to create graticules for overlay comparison on parts. Imported DXF files can be edited and annotated on the Omni-Core system, which drastically reduces time taken to create graticules and increases workflow efficiency.
Image Focus Stacking
The Omni-Core is able to sample from up to 12 images with different focal depths and stack the sharpest sections of each image sample to create one completely in-focus image.
Overlay and Side by Side Image Comparison
Image comparison can be done in one of two ways. Overlay comparison, using an image overlay of a master image, allows user to spot defects by overlaying and flashing the live image against the stored master image.
Side by side comparison allows the user to view both the live image and stored image simultaneously via split screen viewing. The viewing ratio of the comparison can be adjusted according to the user’s needs and even saved with annotation for documentation.

Omni-Core Auto Focus with Calibration Tracking
The Omni-Core auto focus microscope can automatically track calibration measurements even when zoom is adjusted. All Omni-Core microscopes are factory calibrated before shipping, so no time is wasted calibrating the unit for measurement.
User Efficiency
Optional 360° Rotating Viewer
The 360° Rotating Viewer can be used with the Omni-Core digital microscope system, allowing users to rapidly inspect samples from an oblique angle (28⁰ from vertical).
By simply rotating the viewer, the user can inspect any sample from multiple angles. Users can easily switch from 360⁰ view to normal top-down view with the adjustable mirror.
The 360° Rotating Viewer is useful in bare PCB inspection, solder joint inspection on assembled PCBs, electronics, quality control inspection, inspection of tips of small bore medical cylindrical parts, medical device manufacturing, and metal-cutting Tools.
