HDAF201 is the ultimate low magnification auto focus digital microscope with Wi-Fi features and up to 5.4” field of view at 12” long working distance. Built with state-of-the-art Sony high sensitivity CMOS sensor, the auto focus digital microscope camera provides Full HD 1080p resolution motion video with no lag. The HD digital microscope has magnification range of 4x-91x on a 24” HD monitor or 2x-59x on a 12” Retina HD monitor, and is suitable for assembly, inspection, training, real-time viewing, image capture and motion video documentation. For applications requiring up to 182x magnification, the optional 2x rear coupler can be installed onto the system without changing the working distances.

The auto focus digital microscope is designed to allow use as a completely independent unit not requiring a computer connection. A monitor can be connected directly to HDMI output for display, and 2 MP images (1920×1080) and HD 1080p videos can be saved directly to the SD card. The HDAF201 also features customized integrated measurement software, with measurements and camera settings easily controlled by computer mouse connected to USB port. If needed, Wi-Fi connection is available for direct connection to computer for video measurement application (USB Wi-Fi adapter included with HDAF201).

The HDAF201 auto focus digital microscope can be customized with various stand and accessories. The system includes adjustable high intensity LEDs to provide bright uniform lighting for great image quality, and even comes with a diffuser glass filter that can be used to reduce glare from highly reflective parts, if needed. Other lighting options, such as polarizer lighting and dual arm goose arm lighting are also available for configuration with the HDAF201. The optional laser light pointer accessory is a great option for visually locating the inspection area. XY measurement stages are also a great addition to the system to pair their manual XY measurement capabilities with the included video measurement software’s features.

The HDAF201 auto focus digital microscope integrated measurement software user interface features the Camera Control Panel on the left side of the video window, the Measurement Toolbar on the top of the window, the Synthesis Camera Control Toolbar on the bottom and the Auto Focus Control Panel on right side of the video window.

Camera Control Panel pops up when user moves mouse cursor to the left side of the window; Synthesis Camera Control Toolbar pops up when mouse cursor is moved towards bottom of the window.

When the auto focus digital microscope camera is directly connected to computer via Wi-Fi connection, the PC-side measurement software features image stitching as well as extended depth of focus. Image stitching allows multiple images to be pieced together to form one combined image, which is useful for applications that require larger field of view while maintaining detailed image quality. Extended depth of focus allows multiple images to be stacked together so that imaging of an area with components on various planes will all be in complete focus, creating one superior image with an extended depth of field of this single area.
