HDAF207 is an outstanding auto focus digital microscope for low magnification applications requiring large field of view and long working distances. The system features leading auto focus digital camera technology to deliver Full HD 1080p resolution motion video with no lag time. The HD digital microscope has magnification range of 2x to 75x on a 24” HD monitor, and long working distance range of 5.3” to 16”. If needed, an optional 2x rear coupler can be used to increase magnification range up to 150x while maintaining working distances. HDAF207 meets assembly, inspection, training, real-time viewing, image and motion video documentation requirements for applications benefiting from the auto focus feature.

The auto focus microscope has HDMI output to connect to HD monitor and SD card for direct image and motion video capture, allowing the system to operate independently without computer connection. Still images can be saved in 1920×1080 (2MP) and motion HD video can be captured in 1080p. While the system has built in measurement software (no PC needed), Wi-Fi connection is available for direct connection to computer for video measurement application, if needed.

The HDAF207 can be paired with various stands, including basic stand, boom stand, dual sliding arm stand, and articulating arm stand. The system includes adjustable high intensity LEDs with diffuser glass filter to provide bright uniform lighting and also the option to reduce glare on highly reflective surfaces. Other lighting, such as polarizer lighting and dual gooseneck arm lighting are also available if included lighting is not sufficient. Other accessories, such as laser pointer and XY measurement stages, are also available assist in specific application needs.

The software UI shown below includes the Camera Control Panel on the left side of the video window, the Measurement Toolbar on the upper side of the video window, the Synthesis Camera Control Toolbar on the bottom of the video window and the Auto Focus Control Panel on right side of the video window.

Camera Control Panel pops up when user moves mouse cursor to the left side of the window; Synthesis Camera Control Toolbar pops up when mouse cursor is moved towards bottom of the window.

Image Stitching and Extended Depth of Focus

When the auto focus camera is directly connected to computer via WiFi connection, the PC-side measurement software features image stitching as well as extended depth of focus. Image stitching allows multiple images to be pieced together to form one combined image, which is useful for applications that require larger field of view while maintaining detailed image quality. Extended depth of focus allows multiple images to be stacked together so that imaging of an area with components on various planes will all be in complete focus, creating one superior image with an extended depth of field of this single area.
